How Can I Ignore The Boy Next Door (Book Thoughts: Lola And The Boy Next Door, Stephanie Perkins)

16101168I finished the third part of the “Anna & The French Kiss”  last weekend, so anal retentive me just had to start on part 2, “Lola And The Boy Next Door,” and I loved it just as much as the other two, though to be honest this is my least favorite of the three. But the one thing I noticed about this book is that it had so many gay elements: from the setting (The Castro area in San Francisco), teh main character’s gay dads, even the side story about figure skating. I could even say that Lola had gay elements – her seemingly outcast persona because she liked to dress costume-y.  Her love story is a luttle weak for me, though I did like the Cricket character a lot.
