Reconciliations (Television Thoughts: Crazy Ex Girlfriens Season 2 Episodes 8 and 9)

When Do I Get to Spend Time with Josh?

Back to back episodes of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (why? are they trying to quickly burn off episodes?) focus on reconciliations.  On Episode 8, finally, Rebecca and Paula are back together, and for the life of me I still don’t understand why they had to do a multi episode arc on it. But it’s sweet how they reconciled, and you really do see the genuine affection the characters have for each other. At the same time, Josh breaks up with Anna, and even Stevie Wonder could see that happening. What finally broke the straw? Anna sees Josh modeling for a department store runway show at a suburban night club I guess the combination of all that middle-classness was just too much for her to handle. And what does Josh learn from all that? That it’s Rebecca who really stood by him all these years and now he is going to run after her. I want to say No Josh, don’t do it, but the writers of the show know otherwise. Now we see Josh and Rebecca in a love bubble, but in Episode 9, there is another villain to contend to – now Rebecca has to deal with office politics as Daryl sells half his firm and gives control to Nathaniel, who wants to change the laissez-faire direction of the firm. i don’t know if I like this development much as I found myself cringing with all the office politics. But Rebecca saves the day for the firm (for now, at least) and next week Patti Lupone guest stars so there’s still that to look forward to
