About ten minutes into ’20 Weeks,’ I asked myself, do I really want to watch this movie? Leena Pendharkar’s film tackles serious issues, like abortion and child deformities, but I just was not in the mood for it. First of all, I am not able to relate (obviously) and secondly, after a hard day of work, this is hardly the subject matter I want to deal with. And for some reason, I had a tense dislike for the characters, as I thought they were both selfish and whiny. Or maybe I was just in a bad move. All in all, the film was not a good experience for me.
