Paper Thin (Movie Thoughts: Paper Year)

paper-year-canadian-movie-posterWhile watching ‘Paper Year,’ I realize then and there that some movies are just not meant for me. There is not much in the movie that I can really relate to – about a couple in their twenties ans their first year of marriage. It’s very ‘straight people problems’ for me. But Avan Jogia is very pretty to look at, and that was the one motivating factor for me to finish watching the film. I mean, the film isn’t really bad – I even liked its bittersweet message in the ending – but it’s just not for me. They’re making movies now, but not for me, can you believe it? One last thought: Andie McDowell deserves so much better than doing thankless roles like she does here.
