Another day, another jazzette.  This time ’round, I am listening to ‘Ain’t Misbehavin,’ an album by Yamit and the Vinyl Blvd. Yamit is Yamit Lemoine, and she and her band are based in Miami, where they play a couple of upscale venues. As you can see, she is very photogenic, and probably has a strong presence when she is performing at these venues. Oh you want to know about the music? She has what I describe as  ‘Cheery Billie’ vibe and it is a little mannered but not too generic. The arrangements are solid, but on the safe and generic side. This is not the worst thing in the world, but it kind of obored me.
