There’s nothing like a jazz singer who also plays the piano. It’s just a different kind of musicality – think Carmen McRae, think Shirley Horn. ‘The Stylings of Champian’ is Champian Fulton’s tenth album and it’s an assured release – it spans two discs and therefore it has space to feature her work not just as a vocalist but also a pianist.  You know how some jazz albums sound like jazz with a capital J ? This definitely falls in that category.
