Look, I don’t think anyone would say that ‘Poms’ is Citizen Kane but I have had a long day, and I am exhausted and just about to open my bottle of rose, and you know what ‘Poms’ just fit my current mood. Sure, every plot point here can be predicted and Diane Keaton has been playing the same character (effectively) for the past fifteen years (they even have the same wardrobe) but I found myself smiling throughout the film, albeit all the jokes are corny and I am much too jaded for all of this. It wiled the time by pleasantly and at my age, who could ask for anything more?
