There’s a lot of good things in Sally Terrell’s ‘Just In Time.’ First of all, she has first-rate backing, headed by Musical Director John Dimartino. And her warm alto perfectly compliments that. The one thing I get from her singing is confidence – you can sense that she knows what she is singing about, and I can hear intelligence in what she is conveying through her music. I find out later that she is an educator, teaching writing at a college in Connecticut. I wish I could find something very original in the recording, though. While more than competent, it kind of went through one ear and out another.
