I don’t know why it’s taking me so long to read nowadays, even if the book I am reading is delightful. Alexis Hall’s ‘Boyfriend Material’ is a wonderful easy read – a rom com about two guys, seemingly different, who make an arrangement to date each other for convenience. But of course, as these things go, they fall for each other. It’s a story as old as time, but the enjoyment here is in the details. It’s set in London, so that is a plus for Anglophiles like myself, and there’s that British dry humour to boot in the first person narrative. This is great romantic read – it made me laugh a lot, and I felt invested in their falling in love with each other.
