I just finished the first season of Mozart in the Jungle, and yes, I love it. There was a little lag towards the later episodes but for the most part I found most of the show quite enjoyable. Someone described the show as Sex and Tchaikovsky and I think it’s very apt – it depicts a world that is probably accurate, although probably a bit exaggerated. I thought Gael Garcia Bernal as the crazy maestro was excellent, and deserved his Golden Globe nod for Best Actor here. And Broadway queen that I am, I am always up for Bernadette Peters. I don’t know if I really like Maestro and Hailey to get together, but I guess it makes for more interesting (if predictable) watching.
